    1989

    This was my second print for the FestOval festival for the Watts Hospital Hillandale Neighborhood. It features four neighborhood kids, including my son, on the merry-go-round at Oval Park. I printed a blended color background and used pine and willow oak foliage to frame the piece. This type of playground equipment was eventually determined to be hazardous and removed from playgrounds everywhere. But, back in the day, the playground merry-go-round was popular with all the kids, and some of the adults!
